DISNEY ON ICE 3/12/2011

Gage loves all the Disney characters so we thought it would be fun to take him to Disney on Ice. We bought tickets weeks in advance and we told him that we were going to see Mickey Mouse real soon. Well for weeks, every time we would get ready to go somewhere he would say "are we going to Disney on Ice?"

The day FINALLY came and he was so excited! We told him that morning that "today is the day for Disney on Ice!" He was so happy and didn't want to wait he wanted to go right then!

This was at the end, the theme was Let's Celebrate and they went through all of the holidays! I took a lot of pictures but I wanted to put Gage's faves on here for his memory book!

And what was this?!? TOY STORY characters! It was Hamm, we could not believe it, we was not expecting to see them!

He loved watching the show, but got a little bored during the Princess part. I have to put this in for memories sake: I think Gage got so excited he peed his pants......literally! He was sitting on my lap for a minute and I could feel something wet. Sure enough he peed, I had just asked him before the show and he said he didn't have to go and I'm really shocked that he didn't tell me. Anyhow, luckily I packed another pair of clothes just in case. So Dust took him to the potty while I stayed and watched the Princesses. I was in awe just like a little kid when Ariel and Cinderella came out, they were my favorite!

During intermission we took Gage out to get a toy. Well he ended up with THREE! Of course we had to get a Buzz Lightyear, and a Buzz Lightyear sword, and a Mickey Mouse cup! All in all it was a great day, Gage is still talking about it and we can't wait for the next one!

VALENTINE'S PARTY 2011

Gage's Valentine party fell on a Monday this year, so I was able to take him and hang out with everyone for a little bit. It was so fun to see how Gage acts around the other kids.

PROUD MOMMA MOMENT

Gage colored a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. at daycare to celebrate the holiday. It is proudly displayed on our fridge along with his other art work. This morning as I was getting him ready to go to daycare, he pointed at the picture and said "Mom who's that?", I said "his name is Martin", Gage said "King?", and I said "yes thats right honey", he said "Dr. King?".......I stood there in amazement, I could not believe that he remembered his name. I am so proud of my little man!!

SMARTY PANTS

Well yesterday I realized just how big my little boy is getting. It was a fairly nice day out, so I decided to clean the front porch. Gage was standing at the door watching me and said "I need my shoes on too Mom", I said "No honey, I don't want you out here". Well the next thing I know he was all excited and came running toward me....WITH HIS SHOES ON!!!! He had them on the right feet, and the velcroe was perfect. The tongues were tucked in a little, but hey, he did pretty darn good!! This is actually the second time he has done it but the first time I think Dadda helped a little!!

He has really changed over the last few weeks, and he is talking A LOT more too. His absolute favorite thing to eat is peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches. I bought the frozen kind that you have to let thaw and he LOVES them. He is to impatient to wait for them to thaw so I had to figure out how to microwave them in ten second intervals so they are not ruined.

He loves to pack around his backpack with his Toy Story toys tucked inside, and it goes EVERYWHERE with us.

He knows his colors, letters and animals. We were at Cal Ranch a few weeks ago and he pointed at an elk and said "look at that elk Mom"!

Daycare gave me a picture that he colored of Santa and his reindeer, and Gage colored their noses red. We were all shocked that he new how to do that.

and he LOVES to go shopping (probably because he gets a toy everytime we go)! Yesterday I said "we have to get dressed so we can go shopping". He got so excited and yelled "going shopping...YAAAAY!

He has his moody days but for the most part he is so polite. He says "please" and "thank you very much", and it melts my heart when he says "I love you too Mommy" followed by a big kiss!!

We love you so much Boog, you have brought so much joy to our lives, and you make us laugh everyday!
