PROUD MOMMA MOMENT

Gage colored a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. at daycare to celebrate the holiday. It is proudly displayed on our fridge along with his other art work. This morning as I was getting him ready to go to daycare, he pointed at the picture and said "Mom who's that?", I said "his name is Martin", Gage said "King?", and I said "yes thats right honey", he said "Dr. King?".......I stood there in amazement, I could not believe that he remembered his name. I am so proud of my little man!!

SMARTY PANTS

Well yesterday I realized just how big my little boy is getting. It was a fairly nice day out, so I decided to clean the front porch. Gage was standing at the door watching me and said "I need my shoes on too Mom", I said "No honey, I don't want you out here". Well the next thing I know he was all excited and came running toward me....WITH HIS SHOES ON!!!! He had them on the right feet, and the velcroe was perfect. The tongues were tucked in a little, but hey, he did pretty darn good!! This is actually the second time he has done it but the first time I think Dadda helped a little!!
He has really changed over the last few weeks, and he is talking A LOT more too. His absolute favorite thing to eat is peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches. I bought the frozen kind that you have to let thaw and he LOVES them. He is to impatient to wait for them to thaw so I had to figure out how to microwave them in ten second intervals so they are not ruined.
He loves to pack around his backpack with his Toy Story toys tucked inside, and it goes EVERYWHERE with us.
He knows his colors, letters and animals. We were at Cal Ranch a few weeks ago and he pointed at an elk and said "look at that elk Mom"!
Daycare gave me a picture that he colored of Santa and his reindeer, and Gage colored their noses red. We were all shocked that he new how to do that.
and he LOVES to go shopping (probably because he gets a toy everytime we go)! Yesterday I said "we have to get dressed so we can go shopping". He got so excited and yelled "going shopping...YAAAAY!
He has his moody days but for the most part he is so polite. He says "please" and "thank you very much", and it melts my heart when he says "I love you too Mommy" followed by a big kiss!!
We love you so much Boog, you have brought so much joy to our lives, and you make us laugh everyday!

THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS

what else can I say.....the house is still a mess and everyone is pooped!!

CHRISTMAS DAY

WOW! Santa really spoiled Gage this year;)

it took him a little bit to fully wake up, but his fish is what he saw first.

then he went to Nana Pat
then it was on......he new what to do!!

all he had been asking for was all of the Toy Story characters. He was so excited to see that he finally had them!!

and of course he had to have a Toy Story bike.

and Nana Lolly got him the famous Buzz Lightyear

playing with some of the stuff Nana got him

moving on to uncle Andy's house! they got Gage a really cool "Cars" auto shop! He loves it! and Gage got Brooklynn a Strawberry Shortcake doll!

then off to see Papa Erwin, where he got spoiled again. Papa got him a really cute air compressor. Papa and Aleta also made these really cute bags, slippers, and monkeys. They even spoiled Dusty and myself. One of the things Dusty got was a saw, and they know me very well and gave me a bear lamp. I really need to take a picture of it and add it in later.

then it was off to Gma Price's house. Gage and Dax both got a Spongebob blanket kit that we can make together. And they had fun playing with the toys that Gage got from Uncle David and Aunt Toni!!

talking with his Great Grandma!

we headed back to our house for a little break and Gage had to try out his new Toy Story shaving kit. He loves to shave with his Dadda at night and Nana Lolly found him a kit of his very own.

then it was off to see Gma Harris. This isn't a very good picture but Gage would not hold still long enough to get one.

Christmas 2010 was great. Nana Pat and Papa Gary was able to be here from Arizona. They planned a dinner in SLC at their friends house that we went to after visiting Uncle Andy. I don't know why I didn't get any pictures of that. They also spoiled Gage! He got clothes which is always needed and the cutest leather jacket that his Papa found for him. It says captain on the front right and navy on the the left. Papa taught Gage to salute and say "I'm Captain Smith". Dusty and I also got a little spoiled this year. He got a gun that he has wanted for awhile, and I got a gift certificate to get some clothes. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Husband and an amazing little boy!!!!
~MERRY CHRISTMAS~

CHRISTMAS EVE

Christmas eve was great, we were so exited this year because Gage understands everything about Christmas. We did our usual thing, hung out at home, cooked a turkey. We actually made one last trip to Wal-Mart while Gage was napping with Nana and Papa. He really likes the to look at the fish whenever we are there and even though we have the huge fish pond in our front yard we decided to get him a fish tank with his favorite "Puffer" fish. When we got home he was still asleep so Dusty took the fish in our bedroom and got the tank ready. The poor thing had to stay in the dark closet most the night. Santa finally got to finish his duties after Gage fell asleep about eleven. I think he was to excited to sleep.

YES, I forgot the carrots....we'll make up for it next year;)

CHRISTMAS DAYCARE PARTY 2010

Gage had a blast at his daycare party. They sang Christmas songs, colored, made "antlers" out of there hands, had there noses painted like rudolph, and decorated cookies. They gave the kids crayons, and a HUGE coloring book! Throughout the month of December they would sing Christmas songs, Jingle Bells being one of them. They made bells that the kids could wear around their neck while singing, and we got to bring that home. Gage still wants to wear his "jingle" and sing songs. He has so much fun at daycare, we could not ask for better people to take care of him!!!!

This picture just shows the "toddlers" at daycare. Gage is stitting by his friend Jordan, Jenny's son.
